Terms of Service

1. Introduction and acceptance

Welcome to SteadyEdit ("SteadyEdit", "we", "us" or "our"), an independent product operated by an individual developer. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered image editing service available at https://steadyedit.app (the "Service").

By using the Service, including uploading an image or buying credits, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

Important: if you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Service description

2.1 What we provide

SteadyEdit lets you upload a photo and change it by describing the edit in words. You can keep editing the result over several rounds and keep a history of versions. The Service is a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) product delivered over the internet.

2.2 Nature of the Service

The Service is a digital, intangible product. Access is granted immediately after confirmed payment. Because delivery is immediate and digital, the refund limits in Section 7 apply.

2.3 Third-party AI models

Edits are produced by the Ideogram 4.5 image model, accessed through fal.ai. Image safety checks also run on fal.ai. The performance and availability of the Service depend on these providers. We will communicate significant disruptions as quickly as we reasonably can. SteadyEdit is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Ideogram or fal.ai.

3. Sessions, not accounts

3.1 Visitor session

You do not need an account to edit or buy credits. Your images, orders, and credit balance belong to an anonymous visitor session stored in a cookie on this browser. We also give you a private recovery code. Keep it. After you change devices or clear storage, the recovery code restores any credits and images that have not expired.

3.2 Session security

• Tell us immediately about any unauthorized use at support@steadyedit.app.
• Do not share your recovery code. Anyone with the code can restore that session.
• Refreshing this browser keeps the session. The recovery code is for a new browser.

3.3 Business use

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

4. Credit packs

We sell one-time credit packs. Current packs, prices, and credit amounts are listed on our pricing page. A Medium edit uses 3 credits and a High edit uses 6. The editor shows the cost before you start.

There is no free trial and no free generation.

If an edit fails for a technical reason, the credits used for it are returned automatically. If a finished result is blocked by our content moderation (see the Acceptable Use Policy), the credits are not returned, because the edit was already performed.

We may change pack sizes or prices. A change applies only to purchases made after we publish it. Packs you already bought keep the credits and expiry they had when you paid.

5. Billing and payment

5.1 One-time purchases

Credit packs do not auto-renew. Buying a pack authorizes a single charge for that pack. We do not store a card or charge you again.

5.2 Payment processor

Payments are processed by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Waffo Pancake (Waffo.com Limited), which also handles the related order inquiries and returns. Your card details are entered on Waffo Pancake's checkout and are never stored on our servers.

5.3 Taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable taxes (such as VAT, GST or sales tax) are calculated and collected by Waffo Pancake at checkout where required by law.

5.4 Credit period

Credits are added when a payment succeeds. They expire 30 days after they are added. Unused credits do not roll over and are not renewed.

6. No subscription

New purchases are not subscriptions. There is nothing to cancel. Older subscription purchases, if you have one from before this change, stay on their original terms until that subscription ends. We do not offer those plans to new buyers.

Images follow the 72-hour retention described in our Privacy Policy whether or not you buy another pack.

7. Refund policy

7.1 General policy

Because the Service is delivered immediately and digitally, credit pack fees are generally non-refundable, except as stated below. The full details are in our Refund Policy.

7.2 Eligible refunds

• 7-day guarantee: a full refund of a credit pack if you request it within 7 days of that payment and have not used any of the credits it added.
• Duplicate charge: a full refund of any duplicate charge caused by a billing error.
• Verified service outage: a refund or replacement credits for an outage within our control lasting 72 hours or more.
• Statutory rights: where the law of your country gives you withdrawal or refund rights (for example the 14-day withdrawal right in the EU or UK), those rights are preserved.

When a refund is issued, the unused credits from that payment are removed.

7.3 How to request a refund

Email support@steadyedit.app with your recovery code or the order or transaction ID, and the reason. We reply within 2 business days and process eligible refunds within 5 to 10 business days.

7.4 Non-refundable items

• Payments whose credits have been partly or fully used, except as listed in 7.2.
• Credit packs whose 30-day validity has already ended.
• Accounts suspended or terminated for breaking these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Billing disputes

If you think a charge is wrong, please email support@steadyedit.app before disputing it with your bank. We respond within 2 business days and resolve confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9. Your content and AI output

9.1 Ownership of outputs

Subject to these Terms, the images produced from your inputs ("Outputs") belong to you. You may use Outputs for any lawful purpose consistent with Section 10, including commercial use.

9.2 Your inputs

You must own, or have permission to use, every photo and reference image you upload ("Inputs"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your Inputs only to provide the Service, which includes sending them to our model and safety providers. We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train AI models.

9.3 Accuracy of AI outputs

AI edits can be inaccurate or change parts of an image you did not intend. Review every Output before you rely on it or publish it. Do not present edited images in a way that misleads people about real events or real people.

10. Acceptable use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Create pornographic or sexual content, or any content that sexualizes minors.
• Create deepfakes, or edit images of real people to impersonate, humiliate or deceive, including swapping faces or placing celebrities or public figures in images.
• Create violent, gory, hateful or harassing content.
• Remove watermarks or infringe copyright, trademark, publicity or privacy rights, including copying characters or logos you do not own.
• Use the Service for fraud, misinformation, spam or illegal activity.
• Try to bypass our content moderation or security features.
• Use the Service, its inputs or outputs to train or benchmark competing AI models, or scrape outputs at scale.
• Resell or sub-license access to the Service without our written approval.
• Violate any applicable law, regulation or card network rule.

11. Data, privacy and security

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Payment card data is processed only by Waffo Pancake and is never stored on our servers. Uploaded images, reference images, and results are kept for 72 hours and then deleted. Please download them in time. Other session data is deleted within 90 days after you ask us to delete it.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

12.1 Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS.

12.2 AI-generated content

Outputs are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for how you use them.

12.3 Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

13. Term and termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your session if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we suspect fraud, or if the law requires it. If we terminate your session for reasons other than your breach, we refund unused credits from packs that are still inside their 30-day validity, as described in the Refund Policy. You can ask us to delete your session at any time by emailing support@steadyedit.app with your recovery code.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at support@steadyedit.app so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post material changes on this page at least 14 days before they take effect. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in effect.
